With instructor-led training, completion rates tend to be high because finishing the course is often just a function of sitting through the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With online training, the responsibility for training is transferred to the learner. We look at the total number of courses your Learners* have completed within that time frame and divide that by the total number of courses due in the past 90 days plus courses that are due in the future that have already been completed. We divide that by the number of courses due in the past 90 days, regardless of completion status (3 in this example) PLUS the number of courses due in the future that are complete (1 in this example) for a total of 4 in this example. Then we multiply the result by 100% to get the Completion Rate in a percentage form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If all courses due in the past 90 days have been completed, the Completion Rate will be 100%. By including courses due in the future that have been completed, the Completion Rate also reflects work your Learners have completed that is not yet due but does not \u201cpenalize\u201d the metric for work not completed that is not yet due.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, a 100% Completion Rate does not mean that your Learners do not have more training that needs to be completed in the future.
