Overview of IATF 16949 Training

About This Course

IATF 16949 is the Quality Management System (QMS) Standard for the automotive industry. It was developed by the International Automotive Task Force or IATF for short. The standard spells out the quality management system requirements for automotive production and relevant service parts organizations. It is designed to be layered over ISO 9001 which provides the basic structure for a QMS, regardless of the industry. IATF 16949 builds on the ISO 9001 framework, customizing the requirements for the automotive industry.

This training introduces learners to the basic concepts of a Quality Management System, provides a high level overview of the components of ISO 9001 and the ten clauses of IATF 16949 as well as Annex A and B and provides practical information on how to ensure that the QMS is effective.
