How the SCORM Connection Works
With our SCORM Seamless Login integration, your LMS communicates with our LMS and NOT directly with our courses. However, from the learners’ perspective they are seamlessly taken to course they selected. So for all practical purposes learners are linked directly to our courses. When your learners have finished their training session, they exit the course and are brought back to your LMS. We use CORS to communicate between your LMS and ours.
Data Sent to your LMS
With our Two-Way Communications options, the following information will be transmitted to your LMS once a course has been completed in QualityTrainingPortal:
- Course Status: In Progress or Complete
- Course Completion Date
- Course Score
Bookmarks and unit scores/status are maintained in our LMS.
The benefit of the LMS to LMS connection to your company is that you don’t need to worry about maintaining course files as we make updates and, because this goes through our LMS we are able to track usage which means you only pay for what you use and we don’t have to charge you based on a blanket enterprise wide license. While this approach may be different than what most e-learning vendors offer, once our customers see how well it works, some have actually asked us to work with their other suppliers to help them set their courses up in the exact same way.
