Why is a lower score saved when I previously had a better score?
The first time you take a Challenge and score it, the score is saved. You can take the Challenge again if you want to better your score. When you get to the Score page, it will show your previously saved score:
You may take the Challenge again to try to better your score. When you get to the Score page and see the Previous Score, click the Score button. If your score is new score is lower than the previous score, an alert will pop up stating:
- Your previous score is higher than this score.
- Please confirm:
- Update records using current score?
- If you do not want to update your score, select “Cancel.”
If you do NOT want to update your previously better score with the new score, click cancel. Your new score will be displayed, but not recorded.
If you select OK, the new score will display and be recorded.
Why would you want to update your previous score with a lower score?
Some organizations require employees to retake Challenges on an annual basis. Since the date is recorded with the Challenge Score, a new score needs to be recorded in order to have the date of the Challenge completion updated. Here is an example:
Let’s say you took the Challenge last year and got 90%. Now you take the Challenge this year and get 85% which is still above your organization’s required minimum passing score, but lower than last year’s score. In this case, you might want to record that new, lower score so that your company has proof that you have completed the Challenge this year.
