ANOVA

What It Is Used For

  • To analyze the impact on the output of predetermined changes in the levels of process or product variables.

When to Use It

  • To help determine whether the variables being experimented on have a statistically significant impact on the process output.

Important Notes

  • Although ANOVA calculations can be done by hand with a calculator, they are much easier to handle and less prone to mistakes if a computer (software program) is used.
